I have a pre-existing and no insurance company (called them all) will take me. The ONLY way I can get insurance is through my wife’s work which costs an arm and a leg. Are there any groups that I can get in on? Like, if I join an association or something? Any advice? Thanks. I’m desperate here.

   Blue Cross/Blue Shield have different insurance plans.

   No, there isn’t.

   Associations will only give you access to individually underwritten plans. That deal through your wife’s work costing an arm and a leg, is probably the best deal you’ll see.

   If you’re 30 and healthy, a health insurance policy with low/no deductible WILL cost $300 a month. If you’re not healthy, it could be $800 a month. So if it’s costing your wife an extra $300 OR LESS to add you, it’s probably cheaper than even if you were healthy.
