I am turning 22 on JUNE 25 and will lose my health insurance through my dad. I am still in college and do not have a job. Does anyone know of a reasonably priced insurance plan? I hope to only need it for about 1 year, because graduate in December 08

I’m looking at full coverage and/or emergency only health plans. thanks!

Sidney

Most health plans will allow children to remain on them as long as they are a full-time student, even after they are too old. I would have your dad double-check with his benefits department.

    The cheapest way to go.

Most group health insurance policies will cover the child until he/she is 19, but up to age 22 , or 23 depending on the policy, if still a student.

At this time, you could purchase a short-term major medical policy for up to one year. Two companies I would recommend for this are Time Insurance (Fortis), and Golden Rule Insurance Co. You can check these out on the web.
